Thomas is passionate about designing landscapes that foster community, invigorate towns and cities, and evoke a sense of cultural memory. He believes that our shared landscapes play a pivotal role in shaping our experience of place and, in turn, influence who we become.

With over 25 years of experience in landscape architecture, Thomas is dedicated to creating outdoor spaces that are sustainable, meaningful, and visually captivating. As a Partner at Coen+Partners, he leads a talented team of designers and planners, managing projects that range from large-scale urban developments to thoughtfully curated museum campuses. His work is driven by a deep commitment to creating enduring, impactful spaces that invite people to engage, connect, and enjoy.

Thomas holds a Master of Landscape Architecture and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Auburn University, along with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Spring Hill College. His diverse, award-winning portfolio spans urban design, public parks and plazas, historic sites and memorials, and ecological restoration, reflecting his versatile expertise and unwavering dedication to sustainable, transformative design.
